FAQ
What is an MCP accountant?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT use tools in another application. Vedlis is an MCP server for accounting: the assistant reads your books and prepares drafts, and a human approves what gets posted.
Can ChatGPT do my accounting?
ChatGPT or Claude can do the routine work: read bank transactions, match them to invoices, prepare expense entries and draft sales invoices. In Vedlis every posting needs human approval, either in the app or as an explicit "yes" in the chat for tokens you allowed to post.
Can the AI delete or change posted entries?
No. Reversals, deletions and reopening closed periods are not available over MCP at all, and the database itself enforces double entry and immutability of posted entries.
